This year, in the UK, the spring equinox falls on 20 March.
Like the autumn equinox, it falls when the day and the night are the same length and is an opportune time of year to see the northern lights.
After the spring equinox, the days will be longer and many people consider the day a celebration of life and rebirth.
The spring equinox can be celebrated by collecting flowers and planting seeds, like these sprouted seeds I have growing. You could take the opportunity to begin growing some herbs to use in spells and/or cooking.

The spring equinox is also timely for spring cleaning and, if your new years resolutions didn’t work out as well as you’d hoped, now could be a good time to try again or to make new ones.
Do you have any plans for the spring equinox? I’d love to hear them.
