This path is magical.
It’s another favourite route of mine for a morning walk, I spoke about other morning walks in March.
I don’t have the countryside within walking distance, and I don’t have a car that I can just jump in to drive out to the nearest forest, so I’m fond of green places that are nearby. They’re in built up areas but seem quiet and far away from everything because of trees surrounding them forming a barrier between the city and nature and being nearer to quieter roads so you don’t hear roaring traffic.
You can forget that you’re only a few yards away from the concrete and bricks that can seem unending.
It’s not the same as being in the countryside but it’s the closest I can regularly get to and that’s nice in a world of buildings and roads and concrete and it’s more than enough to make the world feel brighter.
