Samhain

Samhain is the Celtic precursor to Halloween and it’s celebrated between sunset on 31 October and sunset on 1 November.

Samhain is said to be the time when the veil between worlds is at its weakest, allowing spirits and fair folk to visit our world freely. Because of this, Samhain is an ideal time to work with fae or spirits although the fae can be dangerous so be mindful.

Divination is said to be easier in the presence of spirits so any divination work you’re planning now might be best saved for during Samhain. I know I’ll be working with my cards.

During Samhain, you could keep your doors and windows open to allow spirits entry and, during meals, include a place setting for the spirits of your ancestors.
